I am so excited to tell you that the second edition of my guide dog Fiji’s book is now available for pre-order on Amazon. This has been such a labour of love for me over the past year and it is finally here

You can pre-order a copy of your own at the following link:

And, if you pre-order, the book will pop up on your Kindle on 20 January 2025. So you won’t have long to wait.

Even if you’ve read the first edition of Fiji’s book, there is a whole lot of new content for you to dive into. All of it with her characteristic sense of fun and adventure. Plus, there are new images showing her at work and play, at her cutest best. I’m proud of the fact that I’ve added image descriptions to each photograph, which give clarification of the content of the picture.

I’ve also included transcripts of an interview with Cheryl Robertson, a trainer from the South African Guide-Dogs Association, and one with two people who foster puppies before they enter their formal guide dog training, Tania Robbertze and Wendy Purdon. These have a lot of information about the first stages of the dogs’ life.

Finally, my adorable new guide dog, Normandy sneaks his way into the story, introducing the final article, which will be available nowhere else.

I hope I’ve convinced you to hop onto Amazon and pre-order a copy right now. Here’s the link again, to make it easier for you to do so:

I’ll release a print version of Paws for Thought (second edition) in a few months, but best not to wait, if you have a Kindle.
